Dawn Gerhart has been practicing immigration law since 2005. Prior to striking out on her own, she had the priviledge of working as an associate attorney with the Law office of Haas & Devin, PLC in Nashville, TN. She previous worked as the Managing Attorney of the Tennessee Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, a private nonprofit organization Against Domestic & Sexual Violence. She regularly represents clients in VAWA self-petitions and adjustment, U and T visa filings for victims of crime/human trafficking, and immigration court hearings. She has been licensed since 2004 after graduating from the University of Nebraska School of Law. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Ms. Gerhart is a recipient of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services New Advocate of the Year Award in 2007 and most recently serves on Davidson County Sheriff’s 287(g) Immigration Advisory Council. She has presented for the Federal Bar Association, Tennessee Supreme Court, Inns of Court, as well as various other organizations. Ms. Gerhart is currently the manager of the Rescue and Restore Coalition in Nashville which is a community of like minded individuals who are committed to ending human trafficking in Tennessee.
